UMS-Wright offers opportunities for young men to play football at several different levels.
Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth grade students may play under the rules and guidelines of the Bulldog Athletic Association.
Seventh graders play on the 7th grade Middle School team. The 7th grade coaches are Anthony Clark, Head Coach, and Assistant Coaches Terry Canova, Noah Addison, and Bobby Curtis. Eighth graders play on the 8th grade Middle School team. Their Head Coach is Mark Lasseter, who is assisted by Brent Daugherty, Ronnie Powell, and Richard Ellisor.
The Freshman football team is coached by Michael Blaylock, Billy Howard, and Jerry Simons.
Our Junior Varsity Football team is coached by the varsity coaches.
Our Varsity Football team, which has won four state championships in the past eight years, 2 of those years going 15 - 0, is coached by Terry Curtis and his assistants: Don Jennings, Brett Boutwell, Brandon Dean, Gerald Jones, Jim Sudeiha, Rick Cleveland, Eddie Roberts, Don Urquhart, Billy Howard, Mark Lasseter, and Jerry Simons. Coach Stacy Harrelson is our Head Athletic Trainer.
