CONGRATS
GIRLS' AND BOYS' TENNIS TEAMS
FOR WINNING THE
2010 4A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!
The boys' and girls' tennis teams are coached by Rick Cleveland and Meridy Jones, respectively. Students in grades 7-11 may participate, and both coaches have JV and Varsity teams. Both teams won the 2006 4A state championship, and the girls held the state championship title for three years consecutively. Both teams won the state championships in 2009 and 2010, and the coaches are looking forward to a promising future! At the 2010 state championship, the girls won every position except for one, and the boys broke a record by winning every position at state!
In high school tennis, a match consists of six singles positions and three doubles positions. A player may play both singles and doubles, and players may play one or the other as well. No ad scoring is used, and the players play the best two out of three sets. The tennis season begins at the end of January and ends with the state tournament, which is usually held the first week of May. If you need further information, please contact one of the following:
