Middle School Achievements

Duke TIP results from the 2010-2011 school year: 69 of our 7th graders qualified to take the Duke TIP test. There were 21 students who chose to participate. Of those 21, there were 10 who qualified for state recognition, 6 who qualified for the Academy for Summer Studies, and 4 who qualified for the Center for Summer Studies.

The middle school students raised more than $20,000 for various non-profit organizations during the 2010-2011 school year.

Beginning 2011-2012 school year, the 7th and 8th grade students will participate in the Write to Learn writing program from Pearson. These students will be the only ones in the state of Alabama to use this new, innovative writing program.
