Year in Review

The 2012 Bulldog Volleyball Team continued the UMS-Wright winning tradition, finishing among the top 4A teams in the AHSAA Elite Eight Tournament. We began on July 16th with strength and conditioning workouts, plyometric routines, and open gym sessions. The goal: train for power, train for strength, train for one another. Our focus this season: Expect Victory. The annual Battle of Old Shell Road hosted more teams this season than ever before, with twenty-five teams from three states participating.  This year's tournament was a Dig Pink event, and we donated over $3000 to the SideOut Foundation for breast cancer awareness and research.  We now have a team page on the Dig Pink site. You can follow the link to see our progress toward the foundation's overall goal. The season concluded with a loss in the quarterfinal match to the team that would eventually become the state runner-up. We say good-bye to five seniors, but look ahead to the future and the young, promising talent to come.
