MEET THE HEAD COACH
Adam Boehm begins his third season as the Head Boys Golf Coach after a successful golf professional golf career over the past 13 years. In his most recent position as Head Golf Professional of Greensboro (NC) Country Club, Coach Boehm focused on improving the junior golf program by adding over twenty new programs and increasing participation by 60%. In January 2014, he began a PGA Junior League in the Triad area of North Carolina which quickly grew to twelve teams. Coach Boehm then spearheaded an additional league. Coach Boehm was recognized for his achievements in Junior and Family golf by PGA Magazine, Carolinas PGA Section, Greensboro News and Record, Triad Golf Weekly and has been published in PGA Magazine. He volunteered for the First Tee of the Triad, Wyndham Championship and Triad Youth Golf Foundation. He is a class A member of the PGA of America and Dixie PGA Section.
Coach Boehm is married to Patricia Norton Boehm and they have two children. Their daughter Isabella is in third grade at UMS-Wright, and their son Nolan is four years old.
After another championship season for the varsity boys golf team and the core team returning complimented by two new additions, goals and optimism are high for 2017. Coming off five straight tournament wins the boys look to continue their winning ways at the Fairhope Invitational followed by the Joe King (Auburn), Bradley Johnson (Birmingham), West Alabama Classic (Tuscaloosa), Azalea City Invitational and UMS-Wright Invitational. All the tournament fields will include the top teams from around the state preparing us for another run at Blue in May.
