2nd Quarter After-School Programs

Registration window: September 24th-October 9th

*Registrations after October 9th will have a price increase of $10

This registration window allows teachers time to purchase enough supplies, prepare materials, and plan activities for the program. Thank you for your understanding.

UMS-Wright offers a wide variety of enrichment opportunities once the school day has come to an end. Programs are taught by UMS-Wright faculty members and most meet for an estimated hour each week, allowing students to explore interests outside of the classroom. Monday Programs

ART Lab – Creating with Clay - $85 (Only meets 5 weeks due to Oct. 14th Holiday)

Grades: K4-2

Room: Lower School ART Room

Your kiddo will be crazy about clay after this tactile, mind-stimulating, calming class. They will learn how to hand- build and glaze their own unique creation.  All clay pieces will be fired in the kiln and sent home on the last of class.  Reserve your spot!  

Dinosaur Discovery - $85 (Only meets 5 weeks due to Oct. 14th Holiday)

Grades: K4-2

Stomp, chomp, growl, and roar and let’s pretend to be a dinosaur! Do you know which dinosaur was nicknamed “longneck”, or which one had the biggest head? We will learn, have a scavenger hunt, excavate some dino eggs and even make our own fossils just like a real paleontologist! 

Bulldog Bytes - $85 (Only meets 5 weeks due to Oct. 14th Holiday)

Imagine it! Build it! Make it move! In this fun and exciting class, students will practice their building and programming skills using LEGO robots and Ozobot. Students will build and program LEGO models featuring working motors and sensors and will develop their coding skills using Ozobot min-bots.

Mermaids, Unicorns, and Fairies - $100

Lights, Camera…Improv! - $100

Come and laugh like you’ve never laughed before as you play the funniest theatre games on stage! Through these you will learn the basics of improv and stage presence while developing listening, communication, and thinking skills.

ACT Prep – MATH - $200

Grades 9-12

This course will prepare students for the Math section of the ACT. The course will include practice exercises for concepts on the ACT in math as well as practice tests.

Monster Truck Jam - $100

Monster Truck enrichment class is here!

We will play with Monster Trucks, race on ramps, play in mud, and much more!

We will even make some cool monster truck snacks!

Come ready to smash and crash and have a truckload of fun!

Sugar and Spice - $100

Join us for a sweet and spicy good time! We will have a tea party, make friendship bracelets, decorate headbands, create our own dessert, make an enchanted garden and more!

Construction Zone - $100

Grades K4–2

Students will love pulling out everything from K-nex’s, Legos, Lincoln Logs, and architectural blocks as they construct their own cities, towers, and machines. Students will work in groups or individually to make their coolest designs to be photographed each week.  At the completion of the session students will take home a scrapbook of their personal creations. There will be zillions of building materials! Hard hats are optional!

Crafts, Crafts, and More Crafts - $100

Looking for all you artsy-craftsy kids who love to express yourself with one-of-a-kind masterpieces and crafts. Discover your crafty side and sharpen your creativity as we use a wide variety of materials to create some really cool crafts!

Wiffle Ball - $100

Grades 3-6

Wiffle Ball Fun! Do you like to play Wiffle Ball? Do you want to play competitively against your peers? Do you want to learn to pitch a curveball? Do you want to become a better hitter? Do you want to play Home Run Derby? We will explore the game of Wiffle Ball and have a great time!

ACT Prep – Science - $100

Grades 9-12

American Girl Doll - $100

CALLING ALL DOLLS! Bring your American Girl Doll and let’s get all dolled up! Get ready for everything Fall! We will be making fall doll accessories, camping out and making sleeping bags, and enjoying s’mores along the way. We will have a Halloween party with our dolls and MUCH MORE!! Each quarter, the accessories and activities will change with the season.

ACT Prep – English/Reading - $200

Grades 9-12

This course will prepare students for the Reading and English sections of the ACT. The course will include practice exercises for concepts on the ACT in both English and Reading as well as practice tests in English and Reading.
