Crimson and Grey Day, sponsored by U-J Chevrolet, is coming on March 19, 2021! Crimson and Grey Day is more than just a day-it is the Parents’ Associations' largest fundraiser that includes an online auction, online Lucky Dawg Raffle, Ladies Night Done WRIGHT Fiesta, and of course our Crimson and Grey Field Day. The school is divided into two teams for one day only, and they compete for bragging rights for an entire year. Who will win in 2021- Team Crimson or Team Grey?

 

New this year:

This year we are selling Team Spirit Yard Signs to add to the friendly competition. Team Crimson, Team Grey and House Divided Yard signs will be available for purchase today through February 11 on our website www.umswright.givesmart.com. Teams will be announced in today’s Tuesday Times with the exception of K5. There is a special K5/Senior Reveal on February 9th, so look for an announcement in your child’s folder that day. We recommend waiting to purchase a sign if you have a K5 student. 

 

The Parents’ Association is excited to announce The First Annual Ladies Night Done WRIGHT Fiesta on Thursday, March 4th. Taking place in the Old Majestic Brewery courtyard there will be Smokin’ Gringos, live music and much more. Tickets are $50 and are available now at www.umswright.givesmart.com. Included in your ticket price is one chance to win an 18-karat gold and diamond bracelet from Zundel’s Jewelry. Additional chances to win are available for purchase online, and you do not have to be present to win. Please note that COVID-19 policies will be in place and enforced.

 

This year’s auction is not one to miss! Our team has been working all year to procure one-of-a kind items and unique experiences. Get ready to bid on golf excursions, at-home dinners with renowned chefs, NASCAR driving, Napa Valley getaways, and so much more. Not to be outdone our Lucky Dawg Raffle has been updated as well with an Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headset, Nintendo Switch, and American Girl Doll to name a few.

Reaching our goal depends on our UMS-Wright families, businesses and community members. Last school year the PA raised enough money to replace classroom projectors, add additional campus security cameras, purchase an auditorium projection system, provide Orton-Gillingham Language Arts training, and purchase carpool software. This year a few of the items on our wish list are an update to the lower school playground, paving an overflow carpool line, apple airplay and pencils, scientific calculators, a Middle and Upper School Outdoor Learning classroom, and additional security cameras.

 

We cannot thank you, our parents, enough for your support of our school and the UMS-Wright Parents’ Association. We know that Crimson and Grey Day 2021 will be our biggest success yet. Go Bulldogs!
