Important Testing Dates:

April 16-19---IOWA Testing (Standardized Testing) approximately 8:00-10:00

Mid-quarter is next Wednesday, April 18.

We are so excited to Gordon Korman, author of such books as Restart, Slacker, and Masterminds, join us on April 23.  He will speak to 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students during the day, and they will have the opportunity to purchase one of the above named books and have it autographed.  The purchase of the book is strictly optional, and the cost will be charged to your school account.  If your child already has a book by this author, he/she is welcome to bring it to be signed as well.  A copy of the order form is attached here.

On Saturday, April 21, the 6th and 7th grade GEMs will be hosting a bake sale at the Wilmer Hall Pancake Breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 A.M.to benefit Wilmer Hall.  This is a fun opportunity for the girls to bake some of their favorite treats!  An email with more information will be sent and an announcement will be made in the next GEMs meeting next Thursday.

Rising 5th grade parent meeting on May 4 at 8:00 A.M. in Dunlap Auditorium.  This will be an opportunity for you to meet the middle school administration and get more information about 5th grade and middle school. The meeting should last approximately one hour.

Attention 6th grade parents:  You are invited to our 6th grade Wax Museum on May 16th at 2:00 in Roberts Library.

Make sure to place your order for a yearbook (order form attached).  Deadline is March 30th to get the yearbook for $125.  After March 30th, the price goes up to $150.  Final deadline is April 30th.

Photography Camp for rising grades 6-8--Join Ms. Helmsing for a fun-filled week of digital photography camp this summer!  The camp will be June 25-28.  See attachment for more details, and you can email Ms. Helmsing for more information.
